Ā
Welcome, I'm beyond honored to walk with you as you navigate this journey.
I’m MJ.
I’m a mother, yoga teacher, photographer, writer, and the founder of Eras - a living framework for navigating the seasons of becoming.
I’m honored to walk alongside women as they move through the thresholds that change us: motherhood, identity shifts, beginnings, endings, and the quiet moments when life asks us to become someone new.
At the heart of my work is a question I return to again and again:
How do we stay alive while life is changing us?
For much of my life, I believed becoming meant doing more. More achieving, more preparing, more proving, and generally just more reaching toward the next version of myself.
I thought one day I would finally arrive...then I became a mother...andĀ motherhood changed everything.
Becoming a mother was not simply adding a new role to my life. It was an initiation. It asked me to release identities I had built, question the ways I measured my worth, and learn how to listen to myself in an entirely new way.
In the quiet, messy, beautiful in-between moments of matrescence, I began searching for something I couldn't find: a way to honor the internal transformation that happens alongside the external one. A space where motherhood could be understood not only as something we do, but as something that changes who we are. A space where embodiment mattered as much as information. A space where women could slow down, tell the truth about what they were experiencing, and feel supported as they became.
That longing became Eras.
Not because I wanted to create another offering; because I needed one.
Over time, I realized the work extended far beyond motherhood. Every human being moves through seasons that change them. The end of one identity, the beginning of another, the loss of something familiar, and the quiet knowing that the life we built no longer fits the person we are becoming.
Eras is a framework for those moments. It is rooted in embodiment, nervous system awareness, and the understanding that transformation is rarely linear. It is about learning how to meet ourselves where we are, creating the internal conditions to move forward, and staying connected to ourselves through the process of becoming.
My work is informed byĀ decades of yoga practice and teaching, somatic exploration, nervous system education, motherhood, and most importantly, the lived experience of continually becoming. I do not teach from a place of having arrived; I write and guide from inside the unfolding because I believe becoming deserves companionship. I believe we do not need to become someone else; we simplyĀ need to return to the parts of ourselves that were always there.
You are not meant to disappear inside your life; you are meant to remain in relationship with yourself as you become.
With you,
MJ
