I didn’t create this workshop because I had it all figured out, the opposite really. I created it because I found myself in this season (the quiet, often unseen space before everything changes) and realized how little support there was for it. So much of what I found focused on what to do. What to take, what to track, how to optimize, how to plan. While there is a place for that…it left out something that felt essential.
The experience of being in it.
The thoughts that come in, the questioning, the subtle pressure, the way your relationship to your body begins to shift, the way time can suddenly feel different.
I realized early on that not just physical. It’s emotional, it’s relational, and it’s an identity shift that begins long before anything visible happens.
During my own experience of matrescence (a word I only came across until I was in postpartum), I began to understand something more deeply: We don’t move through these seasons by doing more. We move through them by learning how to be with ourselves differently. By slowing down enough to listen, by creating safety in the body, by building trust in something subtler than urgency.
This workshop became the space I wish I had.
Not another place to get it "right" - but a place to come back into relationship with myself. A place to soften the pressure, to hold the unknown a little more steadily, to begin preparing, not just for pregnancy…but for the version of me I was becoming.
If you’re here, you may already feel it, that this season is asking something deeper of you. You don’t need to rush to meet it, you can meet it slowly, gently, and in your own way.
